Write about concepts or ideas that intrigued you the most in the readings. How does it relate to your thinking about the question and issues raised about last weeks readings?
A concept that intrigued me the most that dealth with this weeks readings was the concept of ''Information Society''. Before the readings, I thought of information as being some facts presented to me. There is so much more understanding that is involved with the concept of information society. So much of this information comes from the media we see, computers, innovations, education systems, the economy, and different occupations. I strongly believe that much of our lives and they way we live is dependent on information. It's unbelievable how much this information society has changed our lives. For one thing is make communication so much easier and faster especially when working with others internationally. Cyberspace plays an important role with that communication. During last weeks readings we discussed the term technological determinism and how technology is the driving forces of everything. It affects the economy, schooling, social ways, behavior ways, and the choices we make. Technology influences that and more. If technology influences that and more, what does that imply for the future of information society?
